Yellowstone River, east of Bozeman Pass - MT. On the return trip, the Corps split up at Traveler's Rest. Lewis explored the Marias River, then on to the Missouri. Sacagawea led Clark's group to the Yellowstone River by way of Bozeman Pass. On August 12, 1806, the groups reunited and proceeded on to St. Louis for a hero's welcome. They arrived home on September 23, 1806.
